Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
